This is a proposed outline for our Corporate Training Programme on English Pronunciation.
2-DAY TRAINING PROGRAMME OUTLINE
ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION FOR PROFESSIONALS
Programme Objective
Most Malaysians pronounce English words incorrectly because they are using sounds from their respective mother tongues. The objective of this training programme is to help participants identify and rectify common errors in pronunciation in order to sound more professional.
Training Outcomes
After attending this programme, participants will be able to do the following:
- Appreciate the importance of the Standard International English Pronunciation
- Read the International Phonetic Alphabet
- Avoid common errors in English pronunciation
- Pronounce important words correctly
- Check the correct pronunciation of all other words
Methodology
Participants will learn through a variety of activities:
- Interactive lectures with simple exercises
- Individual presentations with active coaching
- Group activities
Value Added
Besides the 2-day programme (with course materials), participants will receive:
- A free English pronunciation e-book to for in-depth study
- Simple assignments to carry out after the programme to enhance learning
- A free 3-hour follow-up session (online) at a later specified date
